Power Photofacial

The innovative addition of Levulan (photosensitizing solution) to the Xeo IPL treatment safely and more aggresively treats sun spots, age spots, and freckles. This approach requires fewer treatments than with Intense Pulse Light alone. In exchange for fewer but more powerful treatments, some redness and crusting of the treated areas will be noted.

Levulan is an acid that occurs naturally in your body and when applied to precancers (actinic keratoses)- the Aks are more sensitive to light. Upon activation of the Levulan by the Intense Pulse Light (Xeo) the Aks are destroyed. This therapy also works well on mild to moderate acne due to the inactivation of sebaceous (oil producing) glands.

PhotoFacial/Photobody-Xeo

PhotoFacial/ PhotoBody (Intense Pulse Light) Treatments use pulses of visible light to erase sun spots, age spots, and freckles. The light delivered by the Xeo IPL treatment is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots on your skin. It is the heating of the pigmented cells that results in removal of the sun and age spots.

Virtually any part of your face (PhotoFacial) or body (PhotoBody) can be safely treated. The face, neck, chest, shoulders and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have had the most sun exposure. Both discrete spots and skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment.

Typically one to three treatments are sufficient to see dramatic results. Additional treatments may be required for very large or dark spots or for densely covered areas.
